Wii Balance Board

The Wii Balance board, despite its appearance is completely rigid. It utilises multiple pressure sensors inside the board to detect you tilting your weight. It does not contain massive buttons like the dance mat which was extremely popular on the Playstation 2.

The board will detect your movement within games, the amount of pressure that is being applied and even calculate your body mass index (BMI)!

Apparently there are also over ten games currently in development which will make use of the Wii Balance Board.

The Wii balance board is completely wireless and as you can see that rigid designs - no buttons!


The balance board contains a single switch - the power button!
